Well I had my injection of redbull today and managed to think up another test!

Surprised at difference between RS and RSK. RSK felt a bit faster but I didn't think it was that much. Attached picture below of RS and RSK cutters.

More to it then just the raker. Look closer. See if you see what I notice.

I always liked the old RS which is RSK now IMO.
Man I dunno, other than the smaller rakers and c stamped on the cutter I see no difference. Is cutter geometry different?

I know, I’m pretty good at the what’s different game but I’m not seeing it. The reflection on the RSK makes it tricky. Otherwise I’d say where the hardening is.

So, the classic raker is 5.5% faster!!! Would be interesting to check raker depth. I'm sure that could easily make the difference.

Did the "comfort" raker feel smoother?

It could be a optical illusion. Would need to measure to make sure.
Why folks wanted the old oregon chain for making race chain over the new chain. Cutter angle. Never had a problem selling ole LG to the right folks. ;)

Look at cutter holes. Look at rear one. Looks like the K is straight across like old LG and the RSC is angled at a tilt like the new LG was. Which was to help on vibrations from what I understood.

All just my WAG from looking. Like said could be just a optical illusion in the pic.

That RSK just looks like it was sharpened better and has a smoother arch. The RS does not look right.

I also think it would be informative to measure raker depth.

The only designated difference in the chain is the "K" indicates Classic, as in the old style rakers. The "C" stamped on the other tooth if for Comfort, reflecting the newer (smoother) style raker.
