The kufner filter on my 044 had a cotton fiber “outerwear” of sorts that fitted tight to the filter. Woodchips didn’t stick to it and get stuck in it like the hd2. I could also go longer without cleaning it than the hd2.

Do you happen to have a part number for the pre-filter? Been trying to find one for these short filters

k&n ru-2550

Usually all they have are the chrome top version, you can get that it pulls off.

They also make the pre filter for this one, I'd run one.

I don't have it handy. I know if you go to k&n and then look at that filter, it's listed under accessories. I'll post back later if I find it.

I'm planning on making these so I really don't want to give away the info but we can work something out. There are a few additional design features I want to add to the finished part.

I'd be interested in producing these in plastic and I'm sure it would weight less. Any pics of your parts?

Totally understand. I am protective of my 3d models as well. I was planning on making one for the Dolmar 7900 etc series, but if you are already skinning that cat, I will let you to it.

I have posted my Vstacks on here in other threads.

I currently have the 550xp and 562xp adapters made.
372xp and 372xt vstacks
385-390xp vstacks
2100 vstack
288 vstack
Older Dolmar 143 etc vstacks
and working on a Dolmar 116 etc vstack adapter.

I’d like to see one on my hd 394 elbow!

I do have a 394 elbow here.....was planning on reverse engineering it and possibly making it into a vstack.
I hear the 394 HD elbow is NLA now?

An idea...If i were to design an vstack "adapter" for the 394 elbow and it needed to be glued on, would you be open to that?

With that part being NLA, probably no. Clamp on would be best.
