Well, no pics climbing the silver maple, no gaffing out either. The damage is done and this saw did it.
While finishing bucking, a nail was found in this yard tree with the now dull chain.
026 FTW!

A piece of wood works well if u cut a small slot to hold the phone for next time. Nice saw. Doc is very meticulous.

I like it but saw sounds a little odd as compared to mine. Sounds like timing is advanced a bit to far from video sound.
Is this saw just as you got it from Al or did you do anything additional to it?

Probably has something to do with not having two hands on the saw to load it :D. I’m guilty of it once in a while, but after a ported 394 kicked and spun around... nearly took my head off... I’m leary . Not trying to be a jerk, just looking out for the op.

Hmmmm.
Me thinks the top handle is just a pivot point.
I think a firm grip on the rear handle would help more.
Of course all bets are off if you’re one handing the saw.....
I see that. But think about which hand has more control over the saw should it decide to pop out of the wood to say hello. The rear handle with your fist parallel to the bar, or the top handle with your fist perpendicular to the bar. Top handle is where you make or break your safety. But the two handles combined is what obviously gives you control. Sometimes they’ll get ya even if you’re doing everything right. Was cutting a big log with my 394 a while back, both hands on it, the log pinched very fast and that big saw launched straight back toward my crotch. Cup check! 394 - 1 Me - 0. Lmao!

But enough safety discussion lol. Hope the OP posts another vid with a good tune with a good chain and two hands on it.

It wasn't jar sauce in the saw.
It was red armor at 40:1.
The op had one hand on the trigger and steered wide of the possible kick back.
Saw friends is hard to come by round these parts.
For cuttin' cookies 'n stuffs!

How did you make out with the adjustments? Have you run it anymore?
