This build makes me feel better that I'm not going to be at monkey fest. I would probably be leaving with a lighter wallet. These 272's are killing me. I have one I'm doing the same thing with minus the port work. Been trying to get on it for a while now. Thinking I'm going to hit you up for a can of that paint, my friend that was going to powder the cases hasn't gotten around to it. I'm getting impatient waiting on it hahahaha.

She’s a beaut Clark! Easliy above and beyond what I was expecting. I’m excited now.
Awesome work Steve. Thank you brutha.

I tried to make it operationally as perfect as possible to get you a correct saw like you wanted to begin with. That and I believe with the used feal the saw has it's not too nice to run.

Awesome pic porn! This site needs more of these threads.

I found the southern aerosols paint to be spot on color-wise, but not be very gas resistant. Maybe baking it cures it better, but 2 days after air drying a rag wiped it off.

Those are some nice Husky tools you’ve got.

I don't think two days is enough time to cure on its own.

Seen plenty of his work and it's impeccable. I was waiting for a friend that is doing a bunch of kubota parts. He was going to do the cases for free. That's why I've been waiting so long. Had a clutch cover done a while ago and it was darn close to husky orange. Everyone is busy so timing just hasn't been working on my side lately.

Looks real nice, Steve. The 272 is one of my favs. Do tell about the filter. Looks like a nice upgrade.

That's the one I did the review of for Bruce, was the prototype sent for trials. I think it's spot on to the original. Hopefully the manufacturing process holds true to the prototype. I couldn't see keeping it for myself, so Mike's saw looked like a good home for it to me.
