I love before & after...Sure wish I had before pics of the saw that got me started down this road. Absolute filth, some from cutting then about 20 yrs. shop grime in storage. It had a stench of body putty & paint for years. I think sat in someones body shop.

Yes, I stripped it down to the point the fuel tank was separated from the case. I still need to pull the top end and see if I can save the cylinder. Once I make that determination, I'll be starting to gather parts. :) PA Dan is already helping me out lining a couple things up for me :) Thanks Dan!

That is a super nice find. I'm gonna want to see it when you get it cleaned up -- I believe it's gonna be a cream puff.
The filter will have to be replaced by the looks of it. How about the piston cylinder?
I did some cleaning on the saw last week. Pulled the top end and the piston is toast but the cylinder is cleaning up nicely. Another member is sending some parts for Joe and I. Here's what she's looking like now.

That's about as nice as I've seen in some time. Congrats on the clean up. If the cylinder did clean up well I might splurge for the OEM piston and rings.
Well wishes on the project.
