There's a guy check with once in a while for saws. On the way to the market I stopped in and he showed me this thing in the garage. I'm a Husqvarna person for the most part so I didn't persue it with him. But on the way back from the market I thought about it a little more and grabbed from him. That's it sitting next to a Husqi 288. So it's big.
I spent a few minutes trying to find the saw by model number, but no luck.
I can say the on off switch reads "on Ein" and the fuel cap reads "Gas Kraffstoff".

It is a Stihl 08s it is built from late 68/69 to well in the late eighties in other countries. They also had a chop saw version, if I remember it was a TS350. There is also a S10 top handle but it had no kill switch and a cast muffler. Most S10’s where rear handle models. They used that engine on Auger’s, brushsaws , chop saws, Chainsaw’s and even a boat motor. Your saw is an earlier model from the old saw blade emblem on the recoil. Hope this helps.
