Makita 6421 has a smoked top-end and needs at least a clutch. Low hour saw that got seriously abused by its last user. Looks to be a rental.

Husqvarna 576xp runs, has every mount broken, and has clutch side damage. Also an abused saw with good plastics and paint.

Husqvarna 272xp. Both handles are broken. Tons of Husqvarna fade. I haven’t pulled the muffler yet to check the piston.

I have a few parts for the Dolmar and 272xp. OEM cylinder 7900 ( 7921??) kit will be the highest cost item, followed by a few clutches...

I’m taking suggestions on where to start. Thank you!

What's your goal here, to build saws to use or to sell? If to sell, I would fix the 576 and 6421 first.

Fair question. I’ve got way more saws than I need and have given away more than I have sold. I like to build and port and cut whenever I can. I hadn’t honestly considered either of your scenarios.

Start by sending the 272 to me. Then you don't have to worry about doing anything with it and can focus on the other two

To add to @jacob j. question, I do plan to port them all.

I like good saws from all manufacturers...

Although the 576xp hasn’t received a lot of praise, it has always felt really good in my hands. I’ve never cut with one though, so I figured the best way would be to build one. I got this saw free from a friend who I have given a few projects to over the years.

I built a great 7900 in blue and gave it to my brother in law. I have wanted to build another one ever since. I got this one for $80.

I love the 2 series Husqvarnas, but have never had a 272xp. I paid $125 for this one. Figured again that this might be my only way to run one is to own one.
