FYI, those 660 Piston bearings through Bailey's are backordered. VG price for OEM though.

I had .016 squish when put mine together without base gasket. Used JB weld gasket maker as that is all I could find around here. 1st compression reading are 175. While pulling if I forget to reset the compression release it may have came up and got me in the nuts a few times. You would think after the first time I would learn. Nope.

I had a stihl bearing I got from ddave
I also have a meteor top end for a customer job that didn't didn't happen.
I think I'll use the better stuff.
I was gonna try to sell a few of these
But the labor it takes, and liability
Of it isn't worth it. Around here its
Hard to find anything over 60cc
Unless it's a thousand bucks or higher.
I get seveal calls a month wanting
Bigger saws for 400 to 450. I just tell
Them I don't have anything

You can always justify another saw.

My concern is how square and even the chamber is cut on these cylinders.

With the meteor top in
And meet gasket the squish was
A bit over .o30. The fuel cap sucks and leaks
But the one off my 064
Doesn't leak on it. It runs ok
It isn't hi compression but it doesn't
Have to be, lots of bottom end.
I'l keep improving it, maybe sometime
I'l find a real 660 or 066 to build.
The recoil sucks a bit, I ordered another.
I' gonna look for a better fuel cap.
The clutch drum was out of round but worked. I hope the crank holds up
We will see

I used a Meteor top end on my 660 as well. Heard too many horror stories about the Farmertec cylinders, like bad plating, out of round, casting flaws, ect. I was fortunate enough to not get a leaky gas cap, and my carb works good. If my lower rod bearing doesn't have any problems, we're good. Used an OEM wristpin bearing, so I don't expect any carnage happening there.

Noodled about bar deep ash last night,
It' gained some compression, fires in the decomp. If the crank holds up I think it will be cool
