I just discovered that a standard paint stirrer is 1/8" thick and 1 + 1/16" wide. Maybe with some good grease, they will hold up for a while!

At least it is an easy way for me to try out if it works with the Asian saws.

Still have 20 or so left for those interested. Maybe more I didn't count just looked in the bag.

I would think they should because the Asian saws are based off oem. I can send you a couple to try. Shoot me a pm with your address.

Ive been scouring the internet to try and figure out my high idle issue and came across this awesome sight. I joined the group and came across this thread. I tried making my own version of the diagram that was posted but it didn't fit right. Any chance you have any of these left? Thanks,Rich

I knew I should have patented this and sold it. My error. I think the supplier (jmester in MD) should have some left. This also fits an 066 and a 650 should they be having the same problem. The carbs need a fast idle to start the engine cold. They seem to start OK when warm but not cold without the fast idle.

My saw is actually an old red eye 066. I put a new tank on because my old one was leaking and had a busted ear for a mount. This new handle hasn't worked right since i put it on. Definitely need the fast idle for cold start!

As a first step, swap the OEM control levers to the new handle.

The old control lever is a completely different design. A better one at that. I tried to make it work . But it won't fit.It was one of the old red ones with a big circle on the shaft right where the new ones need a shim.
