The American in Greece coming through again ( @AlfA01 )
This time for an outside bucking spike on my 572xp.

Drilled out the cover real quick and success. A 3/4 handle and this saw will start working.

Thanks again @AlfA01
Excellent. So you don't lose the captive bar nuts with the small outside spikes, only with the large spikes?

Looking good buddy. Glad you got it and enjoying it. Time to rip into some wood. :)

I'll PM you about the wrap handle.

Yes. The small ones are compatible as is. All you need to do is drill the cover. The cover has a place for the nuts, but the screw holes are plugged.

Is that the X-Cut C85? If so, I think you'll really like that chain. I've been putting one through it's paces that last 10 days or so.

Planning on doing a thread on my findings with the C-85.

With all these 572 & 462’s coming from Greece lately I’m feeling the need for an impulse purchase lol

Lol. Tempted, huh? Don't overlook these. They are going away quickly due to EPA regs and the 390XP is next on the chopping block. I bought the last two today from a local dealer.

This chain rips.
I have been using it on a 562xp, very aggressive. I noticed some negatives (edge chipping on OEM grind, resolved after first few sharpening) early on but I would like to hear what others with more experiences have to say. Using the chain on pine and oaks, older growth.

I noticed the same from the factory grind, but it still cut really well. After the first couple of filings, which were super easy, it really came alive.

I've ran it on multiple saws. I liked the performance of it on a 70cc saw the best.

No spike or bumper at all or are they already removed for shipping? How are you getting them to stand up for portraits like that?

Go for it buddy! That would be an incredible first Stihl for you!

I’d love to but I have to get beyond Christmas first. Gonna be tough to decide when the time comes, I like the 572 as well.
