And it's about time! The production of the 390, 395 and 3120 will end in 2019, because of the new regulations, that's a fact.

As if that was not enough, the upcoming 500i is firing big shots on husqvarna next year with it's technology and stats on paper. Stihl has a huge marketing advantage now, no matter if the 500i will live up to its hype or not. 6,8hp/80cc with just nearly the same weight of a 562xp sounds just to crazy for most of the people.

They have to do something to keep up. A dependable 585 or 590xp with around 7hp and 6,x kg would be a good answer i think.

We are talking about Stihl and Husqvarna. They always have something in their sleeves.

Yes, but for the 572 or 462 there were rumors and secret pictures years ago, now with the production ending of all 6+ cube husky's in sight, we have no infos about a new 6 cube husky. But maybe it's a good sign and the surprise will be even bigger.

I absolutely abhorr when regulation rather than innovation changes/ends a product line. The powers that be like to tell us that regulation drives innovation and in thoery that might seem correct. But all too often it forces something into production before it's ready and the end consumer is stuck with a steaming pile of dung. Thanks big brother

Are the 390/395/3120 being discontinued world-wide, or just for the EU market? I can see Husky saying that they don't sell enough 6 cube saws in EU to justify developing a new model right now, possibly.

Don't know, i will ask my dealer again, he's one of the biggest in germany, normally a good source for insider informations. But same thing with the 880, in 2019 it will run out. MS800i is already in developement when you trust the rumors.

I would guess some markets will still be able to sell them like brazil still selling the legendary 288xp. as for the usa market we have strict emission regs so if Europe cant sell them we will likely be in the same boat I will really miss the 395. A 588 or 595 could sure help me get over that loss though

That is exactly what should of happened. The 572 would be way better with a bigger bore and the extra power that would provide. Its heavier than the 462 but that could be easily overlooked if you had a significant power advantage for it. Without that the much lighter 462 will be hard to beat
