So what's everyone's opinion on the 2018 model 550xp?
The outboard clutches keeps those that don't need to be running a saw away from them.Nice.
Smooth.
Stupid outboard clutch
@Stump Shot
How's the 550 doing.
Mark II were not made in 2017It may be a 17. I will have to check. How do I tell if it's a Mark11

Agree with all of this, except for the smoothest A/V. It's very smooth though.Strong, smoothest saw I have ever ran to date. Great filtration. Love the flippy caps too.
Just to clarify, perhaps in your initial post you meant "So what's everyone's opinion on the original model 550xp (mark I)?"I thought I've read about running hot and such is the reason husky switched the 550 around a little to make the mark11
I was confused about that too. I assumed oe version because I didn't think the Mark 2 was for sale in the USA until this year. I just got my original version this year, I think it's an 18. I have only had the opportunity to put 2 tanks through it so far, but it's been awesome. I really like it. If I could afford it I would buy another one to put up in case I ever needed it. I'm not crazy about the weight on the mark 2. I have never handled one but on paper it just looks too close to the weight of a 562 for my taste.Just to clarify, perhaps in your initial post you meant "So what's everyone's opinion on the original model 550xp (mark I)?"
In 2018 Husqvarna made both Mark I and Mark II saws (Mark II launched in January 2019), folks assumed you meant the new Mark II in their responses.
I understand this statement. My 562 checks a few boxes.I was confused about that too. I assumed oe version because I didn't think the Mark 2 was for sale in the USA until this year.
