Bout 200$ more than the other 70cc options. I guess it depends what your using the saw for and what you prefer. 28” bar in hardwood I wouldn’t have the stock 462 as my first pick, it doesn’t have enough torque for that. It’s a 20 - 24” 7 pin saw stock in hardwood and handles/oils that well with some nice zip.

I will be test driving a 462 soon, courtesy of a good friend locally. That said, my 562 isn't going anywhere, and the ported 660, with an 8 pin rim and a 24" bar hauls the mail. I don't notice that much of a weight penalty for 2-3 tanks and it gets it done. The ported 372 also does quite well, with better A/V. But, generally speaking, when I put either the 262xp or 562xp down for more power, I tend to skip the 372 for the 660 or 9010. An 85cc version of the 572xp could be a hell of an option though. I just don't know about the complexity or price tag of the 500i.

So the 572xp is cheaper?

A well ported 660 is impressive … much heavier than I would want to limb with, but for bucking, noodling and milling they are VG.

Also very durable.

Only thing I don't like about my 660 is how much fuel it gobbles lol. Not for cost but when you get used to stratos you get used to the long run time of each tank. But that don't stop me from using it!

Other than the price, you mean?
Yeah, there expensive, Stihl pro saws are in general. But I to be honest after paying AU$1300- for a new MS261 and after several hundred hours of trouble free running you don't feel ripped off, you do get your moneys worth out of them if you use them a lot.

The 660 only gets used for felling, bucking and noodling. The limbing gets done with the 30-50cc saws. the 60cc and bigger take over when I need more saw.

Welcome, and you will really like that saw, I've got one.

Are you planning on going to the CT get together (GTG) on Sat?

I think you will like it, I like mine a lot.

Just don't keep trying to run any M Tronic saw when it is low on fuel … the computer will go rich and drive you crazy!

I think you will like it, I really like mine, ran it briefly today to cut up some Black Cherry.

do you like yours? Do you think he’ll like his? Lol

Wow.

That’s literally double what they cost here.
