I used nuts also, pretty sure I welded em to the muffler
Was my plan as well. The torch will be out for adding the deflector anyhow. About 2 minutes more work.

I know Scott does screw on deflectors, but also that he tig welds.

I’ve built around 10 of these so far and the spacers were around $10 Each. A cheap item, but the box of nuts costs $8 and will do another 50 saws.

They do make the muffler unusable on any other 1128 though.

Scott, see you PM’s

You have to route the wires a certain way on the sides. You’ll see. Kind of hard to explain without pictures.

How did intake duration end up? 158-160?
Been puzzled by this Hybrid question myself.

Smaller case under bigger jug. Not that much different then adding a full circle crank to a 460.

Too much intake, just more blowback. Too little, not filling case enough. Perfect, full case and lots of primary/case compression.

Same size to larger intake tract as a 440.

Puzzling.

I try to look at what Stihl did with timing when they added a bigger jug to the same size case in the same model line. Gotta figure them Germans, with this being their full time job, had to know something.
