The two 660s I currently have are being a PITA. Tried to get the chain adjuster that came with it to work, greased everything and got it moving the full range (not easy), then the big adjustment gear will not fit into the hole in the case .... RRRRRRR!!!!!!! (On either of them).

Just replace with used oem.

Great, until I try to get the OEM saw running!!!!! I may try to mod what they sent, I mean, if it is garbage any way, it can't hurt!

Just buy 3 new parts Mike. If that part is the Achilles Heel of the Chinese saws, get OEM replacements. They are cheap enough.

OEM is not always cheap. Soon, your saw is not so cheap, and it is also not an OEM!!!

How have you been Mel??? How does it feel being bipolar, you darn Yankee/Rebel???

I tried to fix the D*** thing but it did not work. I ordered some from HL Supply, they have good ratings and are priced very reasonable, so we will see how they work.

Rather do that then steal the parts from my OEM saws.

The chain adjuster in my 660 was really crunchy and catchy at first. Works pretty well now actually, a lot less jiggling the bar is required to get it tightened up haha
