These things are almost always either tune, or metering height Gary. Double check metering height.......and start over with carb setting at 1.25 turns out on both screws.
So what is the correct metering height, flat to the carb body as on all walbro's? started on a full tear down of my 372 the other day, new crank seals, new o-ring between collar and bearing and fresh carb kit. Mine would idle down slowly after cutting though 20"ish hard wood and then be very sporadic and weird on the idle. Tuned the idle again, set the screws to 1 and 1/4 each and start again.. And even tried to richen up the L needle. Same would happen in any scenario. Ill see if all the seals and carb kit fix the issue.

took de-comp out and plugged it and that seemed to calm it.

I did notice the decomp on mine looked like it leaked. Tightened it up and thought nothing more. I'll check this out..

I stripped a decomp hole with an aftermarket plug. Hopefully that isn't what happened.
