357xp Done up Right

Little late with this one. Sent Randy and 359 & new 357xp top end & used 357xp crank. He rebuilt the saw and gave it a bunch more zip.

Used it a little this past Spring, but this thing is fixin to get a work out. I don't do vids, but here's a couple of photos.

Don, did you see the one I that Scott built for me with no stuffers? Nothing against Randy, he did my 346. Scott was just willing to experiment with it for a while until he was happy. I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that it could excel with more crankcase volume and oh boy does it. It's a little bit more thirsty now though.

I did one a while back myself with no stuffers and it didn't have the punch I wanted. It wasn't ported though and I sold it before I got that far. I had planed to experiment with it. With a stock top end it is stronger with stuffers.

Someone like Scott or Randy could port one for stuffers, or for one without and get good results I'm sure. I'm still in the stuffer camp for now, but I know very little.

The way I see it, stuffers for zip, none for grunt, all depends how you run your Saw,

Great stuff Don. My Dan Henry 357 is/was my favorite saw for years. Now that my 346 is very well ported, it's becoming my goto.

Fixing to do another 357, have a clean one here and a new OEM top end.
Not sure if I want to port it or have someone with more skills do it?
