What type of issues?
Throttle rod dropping out and sticking while the saw is upside down and under load.
Known issue from the AS days.
Just can’t find the thread, so I was looking for first hand experience.

There is a little bit of adjustment in there...maybe 1/8 or 1/4" between where the trigger is at idle and when it starts to push the rod. You might be able to straighten that linkage a little bit and still get it to idle. And maybe replace the a/v mounts

Nah
Saw runs and idles as should
Just not upside down after suspended by handle on a beaner

There was a thread years ago on AS where other arborists had same issues

I have one that the throttle sticks occasionally when you let off the trigger. Only does it randomly. I can’t consistently make it happen so I’m not certain what the cause is.

I can’t duplicate the problem that the arborists is complaining about.
The operator presence lever is missing and the plunger of the throttle rod is in plain view. It looks fine to me.
I’ve seen them worn down to the nub

Just out of curiosity. Mine does it when a pinch is trying to happen. I’d be curious if this is doing the perzact same thing. Doesn’t take a full on pinch to make it happen. Since you mentioned it does it when it had a rope tied to it.

Not sure on the pinching.
He climbs with it hanging off of a carabiner though

That’s what makes me think. I’m not talking jerking snatching type pinch. It’s when a cut is closing and it’s time to pull out so to speak. Wouldn’t be a tremendous difference than the rope pulling up on it. Maybe maybe not. I’m certainly interested. For the same reason I can’t make my saw “tell”.

I’ve got the saw in a bench vise. I tried pulling and twisting every which way but loose but can’t get the plunger to drop off the side of the trigger like he states
