362 had a different cylinder than a 365, but you can put any cylinder that fits on a oe372 on one. I been wanting to get a 362 and put a ported 75cc xpw jug on it :naughty2: and tell people it’s a 60cc saw lol

Was it? So we could bolt a 372 top end on it?
I don't why not.

@dustinwilt68 has a 2163 he was going to do something to iirc.

Why not just put a 362xp sticker on your 372xp saw? Seems easier.
True, there are some stickers on ebay I think last time I checked. Early 362s are small mount. I think later ones are large mount, but need @Onan18 or @Spike60 to weigh in on that. The weight saved wouldn’t really matter to me, but it would be a cool conversation piece... small mount 362 with a xpw jug.

That’s cool, but anyone looking close enough to notice a small mount bar vs a large mount would probably also notice a larger cylinder peeking out under the cover.

What are you bringing to the CT GTG in April?

If I make it I will bring my stock 395- would like to feel a before/after. Also have my ported xpw with Poleman carb, we could compare.

I’ve been messing with the 362 top end.

I am kinda impressed with just a popup and muffler mod. Needs some more torque. Stock timing is 99 125 73
With this popup 99 125 77.5 Has 180psi or so. It is great on fuel!

That’s cool. I’ve always wondered how a 362 topend runs out of curiosity. How’s it compare to a closed port 365?

The saw is a 2165 that I put a 362 top on. The 365 seemed ok but it was completely stock. The 362 feels sportier but it has a 40 thou popup and sq at 18 thou.

I need a couple 372 cranks to do a comparison. The other cases all seem to have smoked big ends on the cranks.

I’ll try for some video this weekend and start a new thread.

I’m excited to see the showdown
