Bought an older HT56 pole saw, 10" Stihl "C" bar .050, 1/4" pitch, 56DL.
Its RM /semi chisel style.

I assumed it wanted a 5/16" file, but the file hit the links. After some research, I found it takes a 3.2mm / 1/8" file.

None of my local Stihl dealers carry 1/8" files or 1/4" pitch .050 chain.
They do have .043 and tried to sell me the .043 chain "it'll be ok".
No bueno.

I ordered an aftermarket (Forester brand) replacement chain off Amazon and found the PN for the Stihl & Oregon chain 13RM56DL & 25AP056G.

I'm looking for a file guide that I can use with the 1/8" file. I like the Stihl metal type but am open to any design that works well.

Thanks!

Stihl has a file guide with file (1/8") and handle.
5605 750 4300 1/4” Picco Micro.

Or maybe the 2 in 1 file guide
5605 750 4306 2 in 1 Filing Guide for 1/4” P
