The cylinder looks like a Stihl, the piston looks like a Stihl, I guess it would probably run pretty good at 100 - 120 - 80. But I've never done a 288 so I'm just guessing

I have one at 99-118-79, it runs pretty good. No need for that much intake for a system that flows pretty well. Keep the crankcase compression!

I’m not sure. Nothing was in the case. Almost seems like someone took the saw apart and put it back together that way thinking it would be okay

Whole saw is nice. Maybe it could be. I feel like it would be easier just to source a case half though.

eBay has a nice complete with Oiler and crank, but I’d rather not spend $120 on it then have extra unneeded parts
