Big end is the same. Might be able to swap them around and get it to work.
You talking about swapping rods?? And that raises another question, rod length different then? That certainly is a game changer in terms of juice worth the squeeze to me.

Yeah, I'm foruming with my phone and didn't feel like flipping over to Google and running the conversion calculator. I see that the extra mm of stroke is pretty simple to work out though.

Now, about that crank conversion.... Warrants a moment's consideration if we had both cranks in hand to compare and measure.
Get that 2186 from Jeff and I have an extra 288 crank that we can compare.

I see an awful lot of husky influence in the newer Stihl stuff. I bet the swede's are flattered.[emoji41]
Time they stopped being flattered and went back to making saws that start and idle, the new ones are awful, I've seen two groups of Arborist college students state they'll never buy a husky cos they're just *s-word, having tried the same saws I agree

That's a real shame,

That's a real shame,
What models? I run a 562 and t540 along with the usual various 372's, 385 etc. all the time without issue.

My 562 has been one of my most reliable saws...:)
