Trying to get this thing apart. It functions but the band itself is broken. Are parts available for this thing?

I was able to remove spring and this guy here that the brake band attaches to. image.jpgAnyone know how those two rivet looking things come out? Drive out? Can a band even be bought?

I think I can get an aftermarket cover complete for relatively cheap. However if I can just put a new band in here that’s the direction I’m headed.

Pretty sure that band is nla. Never done the hacksaw thing ted suggested but ive heard of people doin it. Id just look for a plastic flag style cover if it was me.

Yeah that’s what I’m starting to think. I doubt my patience level. Finding a decent clutch cover isn’t the easiest thing to do. Considering the band looks to have been ripped out of there with pliers someone else may have had prior issues with it. If the whole assembly was cherry might be worth trying to fab up a band

To get the flag off, you need to press/push the shoulder sleeve/pin out... I use the drift punch in the back side and a tap with a hammer. Gently, don't need to pound on it like you're trying to make it piss itself.

Parts have been NLA for that cover for quite some time, kinda like the 2101. A new oem brake flag with clutch cover is available at around 140.00 I think, Husqvarna thinks highly of them apparently, AM is available for less but I have no experience with them.
