Gathering parts to get my 288 builder off the ground. Went to order an NWP chainbrake assembly from Baileys but they are back ordered till March 9th! Chainsawr has an AM chainbrake assembly in stock but the brand is not listed and it looks an awful lot like plastic. I just can't wait a month and a half as my 288 is likely to be done in about 2 weeks from now at the latest.

So, anybody out there have a descent complete chainbrake/clutch cover assembly they can sell me? I need everything, including the flag, the whole kit n kaboodle.

Paypal ready.

That would be great! I need complete and operational, preferably not broken too bad. I can always paint when the weather gets warmer if it's a little scuffed up and my OCD acts up! :)

Check with DDave when he gets back. I put an AM one from him on mine and it seems perfect. Don' know the brand

Will do. Thanks bud. I've been told the NWP units are quite good. I have found a few AM units around the web, but without knowing the brand I'm hesitant to pull the trigger. So hence the WTB for a functional used OEM here in the meantime.

When is Double-D due back?

He is an NWP dealer. Maybe that's what brand they are.

I was talking about other AM parts I have found Google searching. I trust members here like D-Dave to sell good parts. Sorry for coming across the wrong way. :)

Nah I was agreeing with you. I took it exactly how you meant it. Dave should be about a week

Bump... Still looking. If nothing comes around in a week I'm going to bite the boolit and order an OEM from my local guy.
