Anyone bore a set of soft jaws? I did once but the AM piston I was tryin to cut had much wider skirts than the crown. Just wasn't clamping the way I wanted

I turned down a piece of 2" pvc pipe inside and out. Actually worked out really well

Looks like could do it no problem with Shaun’s fixture also.

Yup, you can do offset popups and if you cut a spacer you can do unequal skirts like a 562. I'd still like to make a set of piston jaws for 1.2mm ring lands, but I don't cut many pistons.
