Looking for a stator/generator that goes behind the flywheel in good condition.

Also looking for a heated handle switch.

That wasn't what I needed, it's the wrong size and bolt pattern.

Thanks for the suggestion, but apparently that one didn't fit either. Should have known, the 394/395 generator has a different part number than the 254/262 part number.

For anyone curious, this is what a 242/254/262 generator looks like.

This is what a 395 generator looks like.

Notice that there needs to be 3 mounting screw holes that line up, AND, the center hole is just barely bigger than the shaft diameter. For anyone coming down this road in the future, don't waste your money buying the wrong part - they don't cross over.

Fred is correct that the 395 item isn't going to fit. I don't have anything laying around myself. Experimentation with 346/357 or 550 generators might yield some results, but they'd be pretty expensive experiments unless you already had them laying around.

If I was a betting man, I'd say that's the same stator as an 028 etc. Stihl....

I've got a new one

They do look Very similar. Can you take a pic of it from above next to a ruler and PM me the pic. I’ll scale it to size and print it, cut it out and lay it on the case to see if it would fit.

That’s perfect, but it says SEM Sweden on it... is this a Husqvarna part, or a Stihl part? I was curious if the Stihl part is easier to source if it will swap over.

Mine is a Stihl part....# 1118 400 4000

Mine's for sale if it will work for you
