Always wanted a 2100, kinda. But will be gettin a 394 here shortly. Never ran either one, I'll let ya know what I think of the 394 when I get it together

the 2100/2101 was a really good saw in it's time. the 394/395 is a way better usable saw and parts are available. that is a minty 2101 though!. i'd still take the 394 myself.

I was planning to post 394, 394, 394 till I saw those pics. Wow, not so sure now. I'd love to have any of them beauties. If it were going to get a lot of use, 394 as the others deserve to be well taken care of IMO. Not shelved, but respected. :watchout:

If you want to flip one on ebay the 2101 would bring more. The 394 just doesn't have the following to bring huge money to collectors. I do like those old Marcel videos.

I like those videos myself. I'd like to fall some big timber like that, although I don't know where to start on a big trees like that. 36" is a big one around here.

Me either but it would be fun once. They say the huge ones suck after 2 gallons of saw gas to get one on the ground and another 2 to buck

I vote 2101, you just can't find them like that very often. I think their value will appreciate and in 5-10 years from now you might never find one let alone for the same price today. There are likely far more pristine examples of the 394 available.
