8 pin is too much for that saw Will. Maybe try 18" .325 bar with 7 pin. It will keep the saw a bit higher in the RPM band.
I have one if you want to try it.

That Hickory is not easy to cut fast as it is either. Take Jeff up on his offer with the .325, it could be worthwhile to try.

I've got a 3/8 7 pin on it now. I'd definitely take you up on that offer of trying the .325 7 pin though.
