3/8 chain definitely puts more stress on smaller "unported" saws to pull it effectively. .325 chain is more forgiving. Probably why the .325 is recommended by manufacturers.

Yeah and it's super happy with the .325 but finding a 24" .325 set up is a little un common.

Yeah. I've come across b/c combos before then you have to worry about chip clearance. And one of the main ideas I had for that saw was prove that it could be done. Cuz really not matter how fast your saw is you still spend more time loading your truck than cutting.

Lol. Very true sir! Any saw that cuts wood is a good saw.
Beats doing it with an Ax or hand saw. [emoji106]

I have a nack for that. And it surprisingly oiled the bar better than I thought. Dont worry that little guy is now wearing a 16" bar.

That 55 is more saw than what it seems. I'm running a 20" 3/8 full comp chisel on my 54cc Poulan. I like the extra reach and I'm only 5' 6". Why bend over at all... It only has a small port job, muff mod and timing advance. I'm not burying the bar in mega wood. The biggest stuff might be 10-12 inches. If need be or for fun it can handle the occasional 16-18 inch log. I would not do it all of the time though. There's other saws that are much more fun for the larger stuff.

I got a 3.3 wearing 20" .325 I appreciate the smoothness of it for limbing.

Now I have another 3.3 down in North Karolaky get hacked on will be eager to see what it can do.
