2 different 2 cycle oils in the mix.

Anyone know why I couldn’t mix red armor & amsoil Sabre together to make 5 gallons of 2 cycle gas? I have enough of each to make a 5 gallon 40:1 mix.

I do it. Not those two brands but I have done it. Husky blue bottle, Yamalube R2 and Klotz techniplate.

Separation of fluids. Things get out of whack if not chemically compatible or they can produce plastic or esters, not good.

I used to get 100ll for really cheap, so i would mix it with some pump 87 and add some extra 2 stroke mix (around 32:1). Ran fine. Mixing fuels and different oils is fine as long as it is well mixed.

Oh. Didn’t watch the video. But that’s 30 seconds I’ll never get back, lol. They look homemade. I bet if you paint them yellow just right, they’ll look just like the 1-eyed minion.

Klotz does say some of their oils won't mix with others, but I bet that's cuz they're exotic. I remember reading that recently about their 198 oil for methanol (won't mix with petroleum oils).

So, armor and saber might cancel out

I still like to add a shot of Marvel Mystery Oil to my mix. I have no proof of what it does, I just feel better. So that's a 2nd oil in my (Sabre)premix and have never had any problems.
I think they should make a Marvel Mystery truck air freshener. This sounds like another thread that may start.
