I’ve been following your entire restoration and I must say that it is very impressive. You’re doing a heck of a good job. That old truck will live on for another 30 years quite easily.

Headlights and bumper on.

Grill on.

Just need some help with the hood.

Floor and shifters installed!

All thats left is fluids, front calipers and pads and interior. Have to weld up the holes in the red doors from the plastic mirrors and mount my mirrors.

Then we get to see how bad the alignement is out!:D

Sooo, is it done yet?
Asking for @p61 western
He's evidently busy slacking off on his Mac build. And looking for a place to mount woofers on it.

Yesterday i spent the morning doing some work on the doors to mount the mirrors. Had to weld up the holes and do some body filler work.

Got the interior complete. My son approves!

Unfortunately my son can destroy an anvil and he broke the shifter bushings and now the shifter is all sorts of sloppy. Going to get a shifter rebuild kit today. All the fluids are full. Just have to tighten all the bushings since they are now in their netural position and plug in the speedometer cable to the t case. Then its alignment time.

Funny story. The first time it snowed after I got my Suburban we was at work so at the end of the day I told a coworker to hang back with to make sure John can get out of are unplowed parking lot with is Kia. So while I'm waiting I decide I'm gonna go some donuts in 8" of snow. That turd wouldn't move so I throw it in 4 wheel still won't move. Come to find out the springs in the lockout's are too tired to engage.

Oh and John and the Kia roll by laughing at me like it was warm summers day.
