I am surprised no one gave me a hard time for having my front tires on backwards! In the dunes I like it better this way, though I want to find some single rib front sand tire, nobody makes them anymore!

I’ve always preferred knobby up front in the sand myself it’s more fun to slide around.

Is the clutch new?
Not brand new but low hours! I was digging through my stash of parts, and I have a hopefull solution, if I take the thicker fiber plates of of one kit and the thicker steels out of another, it should make for a stout clutch! Going to swap it out tonight

Long term update! Had my billet transmission fail, and went back to an oem cryo’ed transmission. It’s held up well, but time to freshen up the piston! The old one still looks good, but it’s time!08F00400-47B9-4D55-946E-E7C933E51593.jpeg 5B8776E6-3221-4D22-8A63-575F62DEAE0E.jpeg 92039199-40D2-4F50-AFF2-EDACAA49EBF3.jpeg

Are you replacing the piston and rings? Do you have to have the cylinder bored again?

Just replacing the piston and rings. Cylinder is in great shape. Have the new piston in and started up tonight, the compression is back up to 235psi, and it kicks over hard, once broken in, it stays the same, but kicks over a lot easier, it still kicked 230psi but felt like 175psi. It’s weird. Motor kinda felt like it lost some lowend and likes to rev harder. Just trying to keep her fresh. It’s probably fastest mid live on the piston, at least the way I do things.
