Got my low end together, I bolted on the cylinder with the .190 spacer plate for mock up, and with the gaskets and the pistons was in the hole...so I remove the gaskets and rechecked everything... .190 spacer no gaskets the squish was .030 with 191ex and 126 transfers, so I am going to have to cut the spacer and dome, I would like 191 to be the max exhaust and would like to be no less than 188°, and a little more squish, like .038, I like a tight narrow band. So I think .020 out of the dome and .034 off the plate, gaskets I have are .011, if I cut too much off the plate it’s pretty easy to make up with gaskets, lots of thickness options. The transfers will need lifted and lowered to match the number I want and base of stroke 1531B28D-F76F-4231-81D4-E4608A967256.jpeg5B9B3980-4CB0-49EB-BC06-1C367A74E3B3.jpeg

Looking good! I spent alot of time playing with shims on my 8.8 to get the mesh right. Amazing how many options there are!

Ended up with 190° exhaust and .039 squish, with a little thicker gasket that I planed, need to lift the transfers.020 to get 127-128, super happy!
I still need to do some clean up work, but now I have a plan! This is before...real time...so it going to be a bit!!

Got the port numbers I wanted and can now start buttoning the motor up! I need to order up a new intake manifold, I like the short cr manifold, debating on a reed spacer to get a little more room for the vforce 3’s to work there magic, the upper reed petal is close to the intake roof.

Got to do something while it raining!

Did you decide against the reed spacer or are you like me? Get too excited and have to hear it run!:D
It’s been a while since I ordered a cr intake manifold from Honda, and guess what it’s discontinued! So I decide to throw on an 01 cr intake and reed set up for now, I have to cut off part of the intake flange to install the V force reeds, but this 01 set up is a pretty good set up, and I don’t want to just cut it up, so I will be on the lookout for a good used intake manifold to cut up, and I think I will use to reed spacers for it, since the 01 reeds are not dual like the -forces I don’t need a spacer on it. It will give me something to test down the road!

Made some decent progress. Tested the ignition and it works great did a quick alignment on the front end, (a friend was borrowing my angle finder and I got that back today) and I buffed up the pipe, it was looking nasty! Lol should be able to fire her off tomorrow! Waiting for some paint to dry on some things.
