I've had this one since May.

Great little saw with no worries about mix ratios, fumes, or chain oil all over the place. While I haven't yet, I wouldn't hesitate to use it indoors if needed.

Actually got the blower and string trimmer as well so 3 tools, 3 batteries, and I'm set for most anything in the yard (as long as I remember to charge the batteries).

I would like to try that 120Volt unit @Philbert has/had, but it doesn't seem to be available in Europe.
That thing combined with a spare battery and either PowerSharp or a Carbide loop should be great.

Somebody on A.S. posted recently that they got one of the Milwaukee 18V saws and liked it, so apparently they are out. https://www.arboristsite.com/commun...r-power-equipment.177392/page-20#post-6629208 (Post#394)

$399 with 12Ah battery and rapid charger at HomeDepot.com (not in most stores). https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ery-and-M18-Rapid-Charger-2727-21HD/305058651

Here is a related thread on A.S.: https://www.arboristsite.com/commun...e-m18-millwauke-electric-chainsaw-yet.321871/

As not only a makita saw fan, but a makita cordless user... haven't heard of this before, please do tell more.

I don't own one, but have used the x2 makita top handle. Did ok even with the terribly dull chain my coworker had on it. Still got the headaches over the jobsite out of the air. I have the big x2 blower and it kicks ass. Love being able to blow all the dust off my tools and myself even when I don't have electric for the air compressor.

Glazed over here, by the talk of "Senorita" Makita, looking for the female reps!
The convert was actually a Nicad to Lithium upgrade, but it could apply to those spendy new batteries.
Wire up the harbor freight stuffs and have some spending money in the end.

Lithium batteries have the nasty possibility of spontaneous combustion. Proceed with caution.

Even our local 'Batteries Plus' location will not touch Li-Ion battery packs.

That’s a decent price but if you have contacts you can get them even cheaper for the same setup. Also another special from 8-1 through the end of October is a 2 pack of 9.0 batteries and rapid charger for 199 but that deal takes some real contacts as they sold out before they even went on special. I’m still waiting to hear if the couple I ordered are going to come in.

How the makita saw? I'm invested in team teal batteries already and its a pita to put the ear pro back on if I need to trim up a smaller piece of brush when I'm already starting to pile it up.

@fordf150 or @166 might be able to tell us more.

The Milwaukee is heavier than the husky but has real useable power. In the video the husky has Stihl ps which was a 20% improvement in cut time over the semi chisel .043 chain.
We also bought a Stihl that came with 1/4” chain it was ok but had a tendency to bind I assume because of the narrow kerf.

The husky cost 800. The Milwaukee is 400 complete. It also has a variable trigger.

I bought 5 Milwaukee’s for the bucket trucks at work.

So far the feedback is. Favorable.

I do not own the chainsaw but I picked up a Milwaukee Fuel 14/16” trimmer with the m18 9.0 battery. The thing is impressive. I had my doubts, but it is solid. There are 2speeds and on high it feels like my Stihl 55R, but quiet. Probably weighs a little less too.

I probably trim for 15 mins hustling around the yard and use about 25% of the Battery. I’m cutting grass since I’m on top of the thick weeds. For my residential use it’s great.

That said, I’d love to try the saw. image.jpgimage.jpg

I pass the Milwaukee Tool headquarters daily. Too bad they don’t welcome the public...maybe that’s a good thing.

Yes, Simplicity and Kohler are north of me and Briggs & Stratton is a few miles from Milwaukee Tool. Snap On is an hour south. Most of my favorite brands are local.
