I picked up part of an 044 a while back for $20. Almost not enough to bother with.044.jpg Today I picked up some goodies for it.044 2.jpg The first carb I grabbed fit the 064. Lucky to find another that is for the 044.This was at a Jonsered dealer.

There were all kinds of 044's. I am looking for a 10mm to build. I used up most of my 044 parts so I'll be looking for a donor saw. They keep there value pretty good and like rolltide said they are pretty easy to work on. They are nice running saws to IMO.

I have a couple of 10mm cranks and one 10mm Mahle cylinder if you end up finding a carcass.

The crankcase and cylinder are MS-460. The screw-cap tank is 044. The filter cover next to the crankcase is early style or Arctic style 044. The brake handle looks to be 440 which won't fit the 460 case.

The 044 parts along with the ones I ordered will be put on hold for now. I found that a carb I picked up last winter is indeed for a MS460. I also remembered a piston I bought wrong when rebuilding my 2077 Jonsered, was suppose to be an 064.That was a couple years back, funny how things work out.460.jpg
