Thank goodness, flywheel loose

Do I just tighten it up?.
Not bad for a new guy huh. Figured it was about time I signed up here. These guys just want you to tear apart a perfectly good saw so you can cut the squish band, port the cylinder ,install a hd2 filter and dual port muffler. Lol

Use a small screw driver and hammer. Usually if you drive the remains of the key towards the saw it will lift up and you can dig it out. Sometimes they are a pain to get out. Just take your time.
Just get a new key from your dealer or check with the forum host and see if they have them.

A quick search on HL didn't turn up a key. Definitive Dave might be able to hook you up.

Now would be the perfect time to advance the timing.

With the flywheel on the left and saw facing forward, key on top, which side of the key do I shave off a little, the front or the back side?

Flywheel has to go counter clockwise to advance and clockwise to retard the timing.
