I have never had a bad pump. The ones I’ve seen had seriously deformed lines, melted lines, that leaked like a sieve.
Me neither. I think the only way one could go bad is if it was run awhile without oil. There just isn't much to go wrong in there

After 3 pages I gotta say. LMAO

These oil lines are damn simple if you just follow the instructions provided with the kit.
Yes I did one on my 034 and almost got it by hand used a hair dryer to get last 1/4 “ of hose on Oiler barb ? Wasn’t that bad.

The only broken one that I’ve seen was worn through by using the wrong clutch and incorrect washer. There’s not much inside of them. I guess the “teeth” could break or wear out too.
This is the only bad one I’ve seen but dont know what caused it?
I assumed it good till I tried turning it ? Replaced it and used proper washer and good to go no washer on disassemble!!

I can see why that piston broke. Something must have been rattling around in there beating the hell out of it.

Looks like you need a new one. I heard to stay away from the aftermarket versions.

I'm glad the thread got everyone busy and motivated! Sure got @angelo c and @Stihlsmoking off their butts!
:risas3:

It would definatly take longer to drill the needle nose pliers then to boil a pot of water, screw the oiler in and gently push it home. I'll try the nail trick next time for chits and giggles though.
