Yeah that'll do it. My 625 was like that with sawdust more than once. Line would crack and fuel filter would fall off.

Probably at least a year I'm guessing.
Carb is cleaned & rebuilt.
Need a fuel filter and some fuel hose.
Impulse hose appears to be okay, but while its torn down like this, I may just replace it.

i had to silversolder up some holes on mine.

HTH

this saw had issues too.. i filed the points nice and flat.. then reset them. they have to be spot on!!! i think 16 thou. even then u may have to adjust a thou either way for best performance.

went nuts and blasted it and painted it too.

would definitely check the tank venting too.

I've had in of these aggravating suckers on my bench for a while too. Definitely not a friendly designed saw.

One of the worse I've worked on!
Now I remember why I hated these "square bodies".

Gonna have to hire the tooth fairy to help with the impulse hose I think :cursing:

The paint job looks great.
Is that a rattle can or auto finish?
Does your 031 have the quickstop option?
Here's a few shots of mine. I think it needs seals.
