I'm not sure what they go for . What's the price on the saw . I'd probably just take an 026 cylinder. What's the difference between 024-026? First stihl I've played with so I'm not sure

024 is smaller bore and stroke, 024 super smaller bore but same stroke as an 026. I think I have an 024 super single ring ks cylinder and a couple 026 cylinders also. No decomp on any and in my opinion unnessisary on anything that small.

The 024 super should be the same bore as the 026.
Yes the decomp is really not necessary -- perhaps unless you intend to port it (but not all agree on this facet either).
For some reason the decomp cylinders always seem to sell higher - not really sure why. I have some of these parts if the OP has not found them yet.

These are the displacements, but I would agree that stihl most of the time make a super by adding bore size not stroke. This is one of the odd saws, and an 026 cylinder will fit on the 024 case if you grind case clearance for piston.

Its a 260 i got in a box I'm putting back together . Just trying to make it cut wood again

Well a 260 has flippy caps so if you use the 026 tank it will have one of each. Might want just the internal linkages if they will work. The cylinder will but I don’t know about throttle Parts fitting in a 260. And if the cylinder is toast then what caused it. I don’t have any ms260 stuff and it is slightly different than an 026 if I remember.

Cylinder is fine, got sacked with a tree or something. Just missing a few more fines then I feel safe with running . And I have it spit and in going right through it

I have a piston also but for some reason the one I had with the jug didn’t stay together so might be out of a different saw. I’d probably re ring it.
