I haven’t done it yet, just gathering info. I’m going to file some chains later today and give them a try. I will get some photos then.

What I’m finding about making semi faster so far is more top plate angle, 30 degrees. More hook either by dropping the file height or using a smaller file and keep the gullets cleaned out.

Bringing this to the top, while we all love our chisel and square, sometimes semi is what’s needed to get the job done. I’ve been cutting a lot of tops left by loggers for firewood and it’s a mess full of red clay and rocks. I think I remember this guy posting a lot of info back in the day...
