What are your thoughts on the Echo 501p

The power improvement sounds really interesting, but to do it I'd be dropping more $ than I paid for the saw. For the amount of use I'll give it i can't justify the investment. When I need more I'll pull out one of the 036Pro's. Like to have a Stihl 400 as a bigger saw but again can't justify...

What are your thoughts on the Echo 501p

So, what's the difference between the 4910 and the 4920? Actual improvement? I'm just starting down the path with my 4910, like it so far after a couple tanks but haven't made any mods as yet.

    Latest and greatest filing guide?

If you're fond of the FG2, maybe have some replacement bushings made (I'd get a couple, setup would be the biggest cost). The FG2 is still sold in Europe I believe so a member there might be able to help with parts. Granberg or Tecomac bar mounts are a similar option.

    Stihl 036 Gas Leak

One of my 036's suddenly has a gas leak. I haven't had time to try to pinpoint where as yet. Any common leakage sites I should be looking at? Looks like the tank is part of a handle assembly if that's the issue. How expensive are those? Hard to replace? Thanks for any ideas.

So, post "best I've found with google is $??, anyone know of a better deal?" Reckon that commonsense suggestion counts as more bs to you.

    What did you cut with...

My first was a Jonsereds 49SP bought in '81. We got an Echo 290 a couple years later as the wife wanted a saw she could run. That was it until the late '90s and took care of a lot of firewood for us. Last 20-25 years I've picked up "a few" more.

    Considering a grinder finally

Can't be bothered to google for yourself? Really frugal saving them electrons for later use.

    decomp for high compression ms260?

I'm not a Husky guy so that doesn't help. Any chance of a part number? Or at least a Husky model number to start from? TIA

    decomp for high compression ms260?

372XP part number looks to be 584288701. Black top, not blue so I'm confused. Assume the Husky decomp would work on a 036 pro as well?
