M-tronic. Haven't found tuning procedure yet.

    Amsoil Saber

Agree 100% but running full throttle with a ported saw that bumps the rev limit super easily is tricky. I guess the trick is to push on it more and take the rakers down.

    Amsoil Saber

I tried 40:1 royal purple and got an alarming amount of carbon in my ms261 & MMWS ms462. The 462 fouled a plug in 5 tanks. I run them at least 3/4 throttle with not much idle time. I switched to Echo brand at 50:1 and recalibrated both saws. Not enough run time to inspect plugs yet.

    Shagbark

Yes, stove wood. Also fireplace. The saw was bought specifically to buck hickory and Locust. Bucking That stuff will kill a 50cc saw in no time flat. With a brand new chain the chips look like a dull chain. Tough stuff and heavy as lead.

    Shagbark

My helper and I were cutting shag bark today. 24" bar on my MMWS 462. Full comp full chisel and it still bumps on the rev limiter buried in hickory. Absolutely wonderful tool. Thanks @Mastermind

    Milwaukee M18 bar/sprocket swap to 3/8 .050?

GB Bar? Is that a brand?

    Milwaukee M18 bar/sprocket swap to 3/8 .050?

It comes with .043 LP 3/8" 56 DL. All my other 16" saws use .050 3/8" 60DL. I know it uses an Oregon bar OEM so in theory, I should be able to find the bar easily. Anyone know what sprocket it uses?

    New firewood buggy

Made a bed liner from ag supply horse stall Mat. OEM was $150 and did not look thick enough for ugly firewood grade. The 4 D ring tie downs are under the mat. I will move them on top using longer bolts. They will serve as anchors to hold the mat down and be functional load anchors.

Definitely research the 1000 vs the 700. I couldn't justify the 1000 cc. The 700 really does everything well. The 1000cc gets you more top end speed and a true low range, neither of which I have needed. That said, I have the deluxe model 700 that allows me to shift manually. The base model is...

My 2019 Honda 4x4 "tractor". Love this little rig on my 40 acres. Dump bed is awsome. Added a bed liner so I can toss in those uglies! I made it from horse stall mat. It's thick stuff. There are D rings in each corner (under the liner) that I will relocate using longer bolts. They will hold the...

    New firewood buggy

I've been looking at making a saw box for the bed. Might use a plastic milk crate for my 261.

    New firewood buggy

Drove it all around the property today. Absolutely LOVE the power steering. It has more power than I thought, hit 45mph on my gravel road. I like the paddle shifters for road/fields. Makes it funner. It's got some rattles that I need to look into. Need to gut the spark arrestor also. I think...

    New firewood buggy

I have honestly been shopping for well over a year. Craigslist has left me with very little confidence in my fellow man. Found a killer deal on a 2019 Pioneer at a local stealership and pulled the trigger. Dump bed, power steering. I have a OEM roof and windshield on order. It will be used to...

    BR700 parts needed

I had hoped to use Chinese parts. I have found everything except the muffler. HLS doesn't carry it.
