There is only one solution to this, buy all 3 brands, Echo, Stihl, Husqvarna and sell the ones you do not like. Ends the debate.

Computer does not regulate tank vent. Tech plugged into his laptop and showed it was running lean. After allowing more fuel to carb, saw was good.

He showed me a saw on his bench. Loosened back av bolts, removed white aspirin sized filter, then removed small brass one, replaced white filter and issue resolved. I have done it to a few now.

Have you been opening tank vent up. Dealer said vent is limiting fuel causing lean condition.

Ask for an hs kit.

Bearings and seals, just do it. Don’t understand hole by spark plug, but wouldn’t spark plug seal that? Let’s hear from @huskihl.

Goes in the 5 gallon bucket of old gas/diesel mix. Then use the air compressor.

Why not just split the case, rebuild the saw, stop guessing. Know it’s done right and run it. Now you own a great saw. That’s an easy saw to rebuild!

Would have vacuumed checked that saw, before tear down.

Couldn't he just send it to you for a full treatment. Looks fairly clean from pictures.

If you ran it much, show us a picture of piston, or if you saw last piston and cylinder. Usually both intake and exhaust scored it's straight gassed, just exhaust side, air leak.

That carb looks oem to me. Maybe just needs cleaning and carb kit.

If I purchased that saw, first thing is vacuum check that case. But, it's not mine.
