    SELLING 2511T GTG play saw

Any interest in this? PHO Straight pipe, no muffler, ported, timing advance, modified carb, lots of compression, total of about 3 tanks of fuel run through it since new. I ran a couple tanks through it to see how things hold up. Part of the copper pipe mount fatigued and came loose...

Best way to clean a lathe

What's the easiest way to clean off the little shavings and aluminum grit? Or do I just leave it a mess?

    SELLING John Deere (Efco) CS56

I never got around to modding it any more after sitting apart on the bench for a year. I put a carb kit in it just now. It's going to the MMWS GTG to see if it runs. It ran before the carb kit, but poorly. Plenty of room for more porting. The squish & base haven't been cut. Very thick cylinder...

    Different piston for 2511t

Is there any benefit to trying to get another piston to fit the 2511t? They can already get enough compression and wide enough ports with the stock piston. Anything else to look for?

Drill bits for metal and using them properly

I was just drilling some holes in Stihl bars to fit on Echo saws, and my 1/4" bit had trouble advancing after the tip easily drilled its way in. I remembered I may have damaged it in the past when drilling 2 holes close together, so I got out a new bit and started a new hole. It worked great for...

What am I doing wrong this time? (breaking chain)

These new oregon chains don't leave much meat around the edges. to keep from getting crushed down in the anvil.

Want to borrow mounting plate for squish cutting

Anyone have a plate that fits a 9010? Looks like 52mm X 54mm hole spacing, 5mm bolts. I thought I cut the squish way back when I ported this and needed to cut it more, but realized I never did, and I don't want to cut the piston any more or use an extra gasket as that would move the numbers in...

SELLING NIB Hyway 395 cylinder kits

I got these to experiment with for a 395 build off but never used them. All new in box. 1x 56mm 2x 56mm popup 2x 58mm popup 2x 56mm popup pistons only, with a little work done to them. As best as I can remember, the skirt was trimmed to be the same length as the OEM piston because they were...

SELLING 355t, 029, Super EZ Automatic

For parts or repair. I decided to keep this and fix it. 355t: had new bar studs and plate installed, also a new oil pump and relatively new chain. Someone ripped it out of a log when it pinched breaking the handle mount on the case and loosing some other parts. Otherwise it ran well before...

    WANTED Husqvarna T540 throttle trigger

I'm looking for one new or used in good condition, or if you are a dealer who is certain you can get it in much less than 2 months, let me know.

How long does it take to get Husqvarna parts?

Last time it took 2 months to get parts, now I think it's been 3 for this order. Maybe I need to order from someone else, or is this a wide spread issue with all dealers? I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 2 weeks from the Stihl dealer even for bars, though I hear rumors of bar...

Which is heavier? Stihl .043 14" or Stihl Light 14" .050

Anyone have both bars to weigh?

How thick is the chrome plating on chainsaw teeth?

What's the range of thickness, anyone know? Oregon seems pretty thin, but they have an extra thick duracut.

SOLD XS 7900 spicey woods port / pipe saw racer

Comes with 20" bar, 2 square filed race chains, 8t rim, and tuned pipe. 32" Sugi bar not included. $1100 I might consider trades. I'm sure this would easily run a 10 pin rim cant racing even without the pipe. The video shows it running an aggressive 20" full skip round filed firewood chain...

SELLING 58mm big bore project for ms660

Any interest in a 58mm Hyway big bore cylinder I started work on converting to fit a 660? It should end up at 105.6cc. I thought I would have gotten back around to it by now, but have been busy with other things, and have less motivation with no local GTG.

    How thin above top ring?

What do the experienced builders recommend as a minimum piston thickness above the top ring if cutting a popup?

    029 won't start

I was told it ran well, then wouldn't restart. I thought vapor lock, but it had cooled down, so then I thought it's flooded because he said he turned the screws 2 turns out. I aired out the engine, closed the needles, it has spark, the flywheel magnet seems to line up with the coil at TDC like...

Pros & Cons of Polishing Piston Crown

Is it worth polishing a piston? Does it reflect heat to make more power? Does it reduce the thickness of carbon build up, or help it stay clean? Is it good for scavenging? Does it hurt performance by letting the fuel bead up on the smooth surface? Does oil not coat the surface as well? Does it...

    .325 Full Skip options

Who makes some good .325 full skip chain? Ideally not low kick. I haven't seen any from Stihl or Oregon. I'd prefer Stihl. I haven't checked Archer because they can be hard to file at times with chrome where it shouldn't be. I think Woodland pro has some, but I don't know how good their chain is.

Stock 355t with lots of good parts, just recently had new bar studs and plate installed, also a new oil pump and relatively new chain. Selling for a friend to help him fund another saw. Someone else used it and just ripped it out of a log when it pinched breaking the handle mount on the case and...
