Valid point about shipping and it did cross my mind. If I remember right she wanted $350 but probably could have gotten it for $275. I'm not really into collecting at this point in my life but was thinking about flipping it. Now I'm glad I didn't. Although it's pretty cool.
Looking for some information. I stopped by a local husqvarna dealer today that is going out of business. They have a double sided lighted sign for sale. It has a blue background with husqvarna across the top with a chainsaw at the bottom. It hung on the side of a building with one panel...
Buy Mac. Lol. When they don't cut anymore get them warrented. But if you don't work at a shop with tool trucks coming around I'd get the better drill doctor. I think they make two kinds or at least they did.
Mac cobalt bit. Warrented for life even if you break them!!! They drill hardened exhaust manifold bolts pretty well. Mild steel they blow right through!!!
Sry I don't mean to argue or offend. Not sure how my last two post came out? You could take it either way i suppose. Was just trying to let you know what works for me.
The solider gun sucks. Even the butane one is too slow. I have one and use it to weld plastic back together. For soldier I use a mini butane torch. Just set it low and put the blue flame on the copper for a few seconds and then touch the soldier to the copper. Done in about 10 sec. Way before...
Crimp connectors???? How about soldier? I use wire strippers like this by snap on. they work great in tight spots. Then I twist the wires together. Soldier them and use shrink tubing. The ones with the gel/glue inside that oozes out when heated.
Not sure which field you work in but this...
Very nice clock!!! I wiped it on with lots of coats. Sanding some in-between coats. I'll post some pics soon of the end results. It'll probably be on fch.com though.
@junkman if you're still looking for plans and can wait I'll probably be over at my parents tomorrow and my dad has built a few sets. Very basic. No more than 2by some plywood and chisels. Let me know and I'll take some pictures while I'm over there.
Nice peices. Talking finishes. I've read a little lately about finishing spalted wood sense I'm working on some at the moment. They say shellac will not yellow as much as blo. So I did a test and found it to be somewhat true. Here's a pic of the test piece. Shellac on the left and blo on...
I know the feeling. My neighbor had some ash dropped by the power company. Bdh was probably 5-6ft on the bigger one. They didn't even cut up the trunk. Bright in a crane and hauled it out on a flat bed probably to the dump. Would have loved to cut it up but just wasn't equipped. Found a lot...
I don't have one yet. But I sure like seeing what people find in the wood. I'll be buying one soon enough. That's too bad about the rental saw. I know I saw in another post your big saw was in the shop. Hopefully it gets fixed up soon so you can cut at full width.
This looks like something I would try!!! Lol. Then when I wasnt happy id just pony up and get an Alaskan. Im always up for trying myself first. Looks like you are too.
