I will take it back off and look inside when I get a chance. That's would make alot of sense as to why it really didn't get any louder when I opened up the port. Thanks alot for the advice. Can't wait to get home and look at it now

I don't remember seeing a tube in the muffler. I will have to look again

I opened up the factory outlet about as much as I could but haven't tried it out yet. One thing that's wierd is it doesn't seem any louder. Looks to be some sort of baffle maybe in the top by the outlet but I don't see a way to get in there any do anything about it

Want to muff mod my MS241c. Havent seen much info on doing this. Saw is stock. I saw where Brad was putting fins on the side of the muffler. Should I do the fins to make it a dual port or just open up the factory port?

How do you know if they start leaking. Oil residue around it???

My personal experience... It cuts faster soft or hardwood. First time I used one was in hardwood. And it flew through. I was impressed. So to me its faster no matter what wood I'm cutting. Just a pain when it comes time to sharpen. Maybe I just keep a couple square ground chains for fun and let...

I love the cutting speed with square ground vs round but it's a pain to sharpen with file and takes too long. Trying to find a more efficient way but it's not worth spending $1000 on a grinder for me being a weekend warrior. Maybe I should just stick with round...

What do you guys think about decomp valves. I see they make plugs to plug off the decomp valve. Half the time I don't even use the one on my stock MS661 unless I think about it. Just seems like something that will start leaking over time causing low compression/air leak. Read where one guy said...
