So I finished screwing down my metal roof to the purlins the other week. On that day the 2x4 purlins were coated with ice. We used a burzomatic tourch to melt the ice so you could walk up to the ridge and screw things down.
Glad that stage is done.
Moving on to the eves, soffits and returns.
Finished setting all the 25 trusses for my barn today. The trusses are 24' long and over 12' up.
I person was pushing the truss up, one on each end to hold and nail and a monkey in the webbing in the middle.
Going to order the metal roofing and trim now. Hope to have the roof on before x-mas.

My building permit took almost eight weeks to get. Now that November is here I'm putting up a 24x48' polebarn with 12' walls.
I have a Maxx grinder. It's taken alot of time to get it dialed in for 3/8's chain but it works good now. I had trouble with it grinding more on the right side than the left. Shimming the motor out helped evening the cuts out. When I put the CBN wheel on the grinder it changed the cutting center...
I just bought three of the covers. They were about eighty bucks each. I wanted to get them now before Jonsered was gone.
The larger dogs that were pictured above are of the part number that I posted. They are the same size the came on my 372xpw.
I was looking at a set today. They were still new in the package. The kit included both larger dogs, the chain catcher and all the bolts. The part number is 537043701
Did you know about the Jonsered westcoast clutch cover kit? It's a wider cover with a larger, longer rubber chip deflector and...
I have two CBN wheels also and was shocked to find that edge of chrome at the top of the cutter. I find it on both the L & R cutters. Never had this problem with my pink wheels. I'm open to suggestions.
So Dave have you used your Bar Shop grinder?
Did you get a manual with it?
I use the grinding stone and the sanding attachments the most. I don't have any of the grooving disk to try yet.
