All the OWB have an appetite for wood.
My woodmaster 3300 eats wood. I am actually looking at making some major upgrades to insulation in my house to try and help out.

What he said. . . I showed up on Friday before hedgefest 2015 (I think ) and there was all kinds of stuff going on and being told! I had to work Saturday but there are plenty of people around all day

IIRC the 3 3/8ths was the amount to open up I tried to open it up about the same but as one big area. The tune was not far off if any when I got the new one on.

Morning everyone time to get around and unload yesterday's load of wood. Put the muffler on and retune the 260 then head out to cut some for the in-laws

I read a thread on AS where the author had done some extensive tests on a 260 and how much to open up the muffler when modding. IIRC the best gains were at around 80% of exhaust port. Which I think he said was around 3 3/8ths holes.

Yeah that's helpful but there are 57 pages to look through to find what your looking for and may not have a lot of instruction in how to do it. Some of those look really awesome!

The old one I took a 3/8 drill bit and made 3 holes the 2 new ones twisted as they went through deforming the holes.
The new one I couldn't find my drill bits so used the dremel I now have and cut the hole.
There doesn't seem to be many pics of mods for new people to see on here or I can't...
My muffler broke around the outer bolts so had to get a new one and mod it.
Here is a pic of the old one and new one pre mod. I am just a hack so they aren't pretty
Here is after my mod to the new one
The paint is still drying!
The old one close up

Yeah it's a two piece. The new one was in the mail, got to the farm store 5 minutes before they closed, picked up another bolt.
Will do a muff mod later tonight and hit again tomorrow! I think I am going to open up the muffler just a tad bit more this time. Will try and post picks later

One side is completely gone. It broke off and the bolt came out a while back. I switched the bolt to the other side and have kept running it for a little bit.
Plus I have never done that before.

Is there anything here I should be worried about? I always wonder if I have it tuned right after my muff mod. I have had it at times where I know it's good but then it seems to change.
