    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

EggShooter. For as long as I am able to remember I have used regular unleaded and never had any performance issues. I put 91 octane in the 590 because that is what the owners manual stated. All my other saws and weed eater all have had the same brew using the 87 octane and I never had a problem.

    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

Well, The results are in. I put exactly one gallon of 87 octane in a clean empty gas can. Added 3 ounces of Amsoil Saber, shook vigorously. Then emptied the mix from the saw the saw, refilled with the 87 octane. After running it a few minutes the results were very apparent. Instant throttle...

    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

Huskihi, I put the 91 in it because this gas is supposedly ethanol free.

    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

I Will do this tomorrow. The 91 octane has a different smell to it. I simply wonder if it could be just bad gas? Anyway I will go back to square one tomorrow, Ken

    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

The only problem that the saw had great throttle response when I was using 87 octane. Now using 91 I have this hesitation. The spark plug is light tan and I have great spark. I'm stumped.

    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

And if you go to the 'Tinmans" web site he did a carburetor swap from the 620 also a unlimited coil swap. Sorry but it is not the high side that has the problem. As stated it is an annoying hesitation just as you squeeze the throttle. For the amount of performance gained I have better things to...

    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

Well, the owners manual specifies that they recommend 90 octane or better. I was using what I had on hand for my other saws. It was 87 octane.

    ECHO CS 590 Hesitation

So, here's what not happening. My 590 saw is just over a year old. When I got it I was using 87 octane with Amsoil at 40/1 The saw ran perfect with no hesitation what so ever. So after reading the owners manual it says 90 octane or better. So with the 91 and the same oil and ration the saw has...

The best that I can explain it is the "high volume" pump has a larger hole than the standard pump. It pumps oil very well.

    Saw Oil Pump Operating

Thanks for the wishes however,, todays biopsy was a 100% flop. I arrived at the destination on time and in good humor. Blood was drawn and urine specimen collected. Then I was requested to undress and put on the fashionable hospital gown. To cut to the chase the machine went down. I drove 97...

    Saw Oil Pump Operating

Funny but all my saws have steel caged roller bearings. My 041,028,025 for the stihls.51, and 55 Huskies. 352,452, 490,550P, 590 Echo's all have the steel rollers. I am sure that you are right however,, I have not seen them. I take this back. I think I did see one on a stihl 029 however I could...

    Saw Oil Pump Operating

I happen to enjoy a Snickers from time to time. Your apology has been cheerfully accepted. I understand individuals with lesser knowledge making insipid comments from time to time. It is simply a matter of fear on there part in an attempt to overpower a deficiency of general knowledge. BTW sir...

    Saw Oil Pump Operating

Lightning Performance, For one I do not recall seeing plastic caged bearing in a clutch. There may be some but I have not viewed any as of yet. If my saw had a dry or "Cruddy" bearing then I would remove and clean or replace it. What do you take me for? Steel cages can burn the crankshaft doing...

    Oil Pump Operation

OK, So after yesterday someone asked if this would work with a rim sprocket. Yes it will. One thing I should mention is the paint from the saw did not actually show the amount of oil being dispersed. It was a significant amount . This saw is a Echo CS 550P . The saw yesterday was a CS 590.

    Saw Oil Pump Operating

This is a good question. It wood matter on a couple items. The air pressure might have to be elevated. It could also depend on how difficult the oil pump is to turn. Is the clutch bearing well lubricated? This now could be my next production. Oh My!
