I could never get the dual port jugs to perform as well as the quad port one do stock. It’s pretty crazy how what stone pellet think would be too big of a carb for this saw makes a way bigger difference than anything else.
Yeah k095 rings a bell. And the 20” bar isn’t 20”s worth of chain more like 19 and change. So you should buy a new bar or else if you want name brand chains you need to find the one guy on eBay making them to the right link count off of a spool.
The one of those I bought years ago that was advertised as and has 62cc stickers as 52cc. eBay seller refunded me even after I measured it and called them out.
put a nice arch on the port and match the piston to the port, you loose a little squish but the effective valve opens faster than a flat port of the same width.
I actually made 2 videos on modding these saws. I have one specific to the intake and carb mod and one for everything else.

I actually tried to run it a couple weekends ago to cut two small dead trees and I couldn't get it to start, even with some brake klean down the intake so I just grabbed another saw. I sprained my hand in the meantime so I've been struggling to take it easy so it can heal, which means I haven't...
Maybe with an expansion chamber but I doubt anyone using a muffler is seeing high enough dynamic compression to have that issue. You can't exactly put a huge amount of curve before getting uncomfortably close to the top ring land.
What's even better is if you curve the top of the piston to match the curve at the top of the port. Then it's easier on the ring and you actually open a larger port area faster than a flat top.
Hm maybe. I think some of the issue is thar it runs at low rpm. I decided to give it another go at fixing it, the jb weld on the gas tank should be dry by now. I pulled the intake tube to make sure it's not cracked, and thus I had to reset the coil gap. The muffler has been in the ultra sonic to...
I'm talking more of a clone of the deck and dual blade thing. All the cheap ones seem to have the same crappy deck stamping as my current one that does a *s-word job.
True. I think that's cause no one else is crazy enough to use a plastic cam lobe.
I think I've narrowed it down to the craftsman with the 160cc Honda motor. It looks like a re-branded Troy-built at the same price except the craftsman has the hose connection installed and the try-built just has...
With all the other Honda clones you'd figure someone has cloned the push mower but I can't seem to find it. Is this not the case? My weed eater pos never cut great even with a new blade, and it runs *s-wordty even with a new carb and plug, and now the gas tank has sprung a leak. If it didn't do a...
